Tucked away in the music production epicenter that is Tarzana, CA, Downbeat provides a professional recording space built for artists, bands, producers, and songwriters. Our studio is designed to give musicians a comfortable yet high-quality environment where ideas turn into finished records.

Operated by industry professionals, we understand the recording process from both the creative and technical side, allowing us to help artists feel prepared, confident, and supported throughout their session.

MEET OUR HEAD ENGINEER

With over 10 years of experience in recording, mixing, and audio engineering, Dylan Galvan brings both technical expertise and a musician’s perspective to every project. Specializing in rock and metal, with a particular strength in heavy mixes, he is experienced in pop punk, screamo, metalcore, deathcore, post-hardcore, nu-metal, and emo. His work covers every stage of the process, including recording, production, mixing, mastering, vocal production, and drum editing.

As a touring musician for bands like Grave Secrets, Of That Nature, and Dro, he understands what artists need both in the studio and onstage. He has also worked with respected producers including Travis Barker, Nick Long, Matt Squire, Steve Evetts, Alex Estrada, and Ben Hirschfield. Known for his patience and relaxed approach, he creates a comfortable environment where artists can confidently explore their ideas while achieving a polished sound that still captures the energy and identity of their music.
